70cm Repeater – 444.05+ pl151.4
This machine is currently off the air awaiting relocation to a permanent location.
General Information
The 444.05 machine went on the air February of 2009. It has been moved between various locations and is currently located at the residence of KD0EAV. The downtown location was abonded due to continued antenna issues. A new location is being saught that will better serve Platte County - possibly in the Platte City, MO area.
Repeater is computer controlled using Asterisk from Allstar Link. This enables exceptional programming flexiblity as well as limitless linking via the Internet and phone lines. Node has access to inbound (reverse) autopatch and outbound autopatch for PSTN interoperability. Node is routinely connected to the *MISSOURI* conference to provide as a gateway to statewide activities.
Coverage Area
Currently, the machine's mobile coverage is generally about 5 miles around the area of Barry Road and I-29. Fixed coverage is about 10+ miles.
In the future, we are looking to achieve about 15 miles good coverage around the center of the county, most likely near Platte City, MO.
