Platte Falls Road is located 1 block south of 92 Highway (Branch Street) and west of the I-29/92 Highway Interchange.
This event is open to the public. Anybody intersted in emergency communications and/or amateur (ham) radio should come out and join us.
Talk-in will be on 147.330+.
We will be operating as 3F this year - which is the category for an EOC (Emergency Operations Center).
Initial Field Days Plans
- 75m/40m voice station w/ dual band inverted V antenna
- 20m/15m/10m voice station w/ tri-band beam
- 40m/20m CW/digital station w/ double extended zepp
- VHF/Talk-in station cross band VHF/UHF for talk-in
- GOTA (Get On The Air) station HF/VHF/UHF – digital and voice modes
- EchoLink We will be monitoring the *MISSOURI* conference
There's no points; but it's still fun.
Other Information/Details
- Generators – We will make use of the facility generator for a period of time; but will be running on commercial power for much of the event. Additional generators should NOT be required.
- Shelters – We will be making use of a climate controlled (ie Air Conditioned!!) facility and will not require any additional temporary shelters.
- Tents/Sleeping – There is some limited space around the facility which can be used for those wishing to stay in a tent over night. Otherwise, cots and other sleeping supplies are encouraged for those planning to stay overnight, there is some space in the facility.
- Food – Will have grill (and cooks) for cooking. All attendees are invited to bring food and drinks. If you can help with this list, please let us know.
